Shina was born and raised in Seattle, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of Washington.
After working as a research assistant in UW's Child Language Lab, helping learn more about language development in Spanish-English bilingual children, Shina realized how interconnected language and communication is with behavior and autism. She is excited to work in a field that can allow her to use her strengths and knowledge from school while being able to pursue her passion of working with children and families.
After she graduates, Shina currently plans to go onto a Master's program in Speech-Language Pathology. Outside of work and school, she loves to hike, do yoga, and try cooking new food.
