Perch is an intentionally small practice. By prioritizing smaller caseloads for supervisors, Perch BCBAs are allowed more frequent supervision and training for their clinical teams, hands-on support to families, close collaboration with other service providers, and the ability to respond more immediately to changes in client behavior and skill development.

Perch ABA services are guided by individualized service plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and are tailored specifically to each person, organization, or education team. Service Plans are informed by careful evaluation of the client, formal and informal interviews with stakeholders and comprehensive assessments administered on an ongoing basis. Following the development of a plan for service, direct teaching, support, and intervention are primarily implemented by a dually licensed Certified and Registered Behavior Technician (CBT, RBT) under the close supervision of a BCBA.

All supports and program designs are evidence-based. Clinical decisions are data-driven adhering to best practices within the scientific field of Behavior Analysis. Parents, guardians, teachers, and others invested in the success of the person at the center of our work receive dedicated support directly from a BCBA in the interest of skill maintenance and generalization.

Perch BCBAs hold Master’s Degrees in psychology, special education, early childhood intervention, or another related field. They have completed rigorous training under the supervision of qualified mentors and are board certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). All of our BCBAs hold additional licensure specific to the state of Washington as Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBA). Re-certification occurs every two years and requires completion of high-quality continual education approved by the BACB.

Behavior Technicians at Perch Behavioral Health are dually certified as Certified Behavior Technicians (CBT) through Washington State’s Department of Health and as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. They complete robust in-house training that reaches well beyond the minimum requirements for practice in their field. Perch BTs receive support and mentorship from their supervisors, peers, and Perch’s Director of Clinical Services. Nearly all Perch BTs hold or are pursuing degrees in fields related to Behavior Analysis and some are currently pursuing their Master’s Degrees and/or Board Certification to become Behavior Analysts themselves.

Perch Behavioral Health primarily serves the Puget Sound area of Washington State. Services are covered by most major insurance carriers. Perch is proud to accept Medicaid members and contracts with local school districts and private education organizations.
